A very good morning to all of our blog readers, I’m in Weybridge
at the moment and I can’t wipe the smile from my face. Just been contacted by
an old work colleague from decades past – completely coincidently – who’s in
need of catering for his Wedding. You couldn’t script the timing of my being in
Weybridge any better. Funnily enough his Dad was also in the business of hog
roasting so selling him on what we do couldn’t have been much easier. It’s
definitely true when they say that it’s a small world.

That’s some while away though so I’ll focus my attention to
today. Oddly enough today I’m also catering at a wedding with the rest of my
hog roast team. I say a wedding; we’re actually catering for the after-party
later on in the evening. The event will be at one of Weybridges more popular
hotels and we’re going to be cooking for just shy of 130 people. Because it’s a
late evening event/party rather than part of the wedding ceremony itself we’ll
be serving party food to match the laid back party atmosphere. Tonight we’re
serving a buffet with a fantastic selection of Canapés, Mains, Salads and
Desserts. We’re providing some free range chicken and lamb that we’ve just
acquired from the local butcher; it’s freshly bought today and looks fit for a
king! We’ll also be providing a bar for the guests throughout the evening.

Yesterday evening I helped out the catering team who were
cooking at a local music festival, nothing too complicated or elaborate, simple
hog roast sandwiches, spit roasted chicken sandwiches and barbecued burgers and
sausages for the guests. I think I’m suffering from temporary deafness but
aside from that it was a very enjoyable night and the music wasn’t half bad.

That’s probably the 4th or 5th time
I’ve catered at a festival this year. Seems to be a growing trend to have a hog
roast at large festivals and it’s great to be outside and feeding thousands of
hungry people.

Why not give us a call if you’re having a wedding or musical
festival and need catering for the event? We have competitive prices and a
service that blows the competition out of the water.

And that’s all for today, have a
good day.

Our hog roast machines are used and designed by ourselves.

Hello again everybody, I’m writing from Wokingham and have a
busy day in store. I’m not in the office and I’m not out catering either… No,
today I’ll be shifting my brain into 5th gear as I have an important
meeting with a key member of the company.

Today I’m meeting with one of our engineers to discuss the
design and manufacture of a new spit roast machine range. Despite being a
hugely successful hog roast catering company we’re also one of the leading hog
roast machine manufacturers – Somewhat unintentionally. Going back a good
number of years and we had the best of everything, staff and produce, but the
machines we were using just weren’t that good. There was room for improvement.
After a while I decided on putting some ideas I had to an engineer and after a
while we were utilising our own custom built hog roast machines. Shortly after
that it became clear there was a strong market for our machines, with other
caterers and restaurateurs recognising the superiority of the machines we had
in comparison to the machines elsewhere. Long story short – We’re now leaders
in hog roast machine manufacture and have great success selling and hiring out
our machines.

Time and technology progresses
though and we’re always finding new ways to improve our machines and in some
cases create brand new models. It’s been a couple of years since the last
machine invention and the time is right to create a new machine to add to our
growing range. We’ve come into some new technology and insight, and there are a
few improvements and additions I have in mind. It’s an exciting day and by the
end of it, with any luck, we should have some drafts finalised and be ready to
start physically developing the machine.

To find out more about our hog
roast machines we have a page dedicated for the hire of machines and also the
sale of machines. If you’re looking to stock our machines or would like more
detailed specification of the machines we have a dedicated team who you can
speak with by phone, or through email, from Monday through till Friday between
9am and 5pm.

buy or hire our hog roast machine is great fun.

It’s a beautiful day and I’ve found myself in Swindon once
more. It’s an eventful day that involves a meeting with a decent sized
restaurant chains who’ve in the past hired our machines and are now interested
in buying some machines for their restaurant.

Nothings set in stone but I’m hoping they’ll be interested
in rolling out our hog roast machines throughout all their establishments,
nationwide. They’re over the moon with our spit roast machines and recorded
very strong interest, as well as profit and usability, so deciding on a price
that’s good for both of us will be the tricky part. All in all I’m very
positive about today and it’s great to see another aspect of the business
thriving and going from strength to strength.

The hog roast hire and hog roast machine sale is also
available to the public, if it sounds like something you’d enjoy doing yourself
rather than paying for a full hog roast catering service, we have a few models
of hog roast machines that are readily available for hire and sale. Hiring a
machine can cost as little as £200 a week, with free delivery and gas, where as
if you’re eager to buy a machine you should phone us or Email us for a price.
Most of our customers prefer to hire before buying, to get a feel for the
machines and hog roasting itself.

I’ll be in the Swindon office for a few days so if you call
today or tomorrow there’s a good chance you can speak with me directly about
the benefits to be had from our many services.

Well, that’s me once again for
the day. I hope you’re enjoying the blog and finding it informative and as
entertaining as an online diary of my working life can be! ; )

No event is too big or too small!

Thursday, April 19th, 2012

Good morning, afternoon or evening to our blog readers. I’m
in Gloucester at the moment and have a relatively quiet day ahead of me; with
only one evening event I’m involved with this evening.

Tonight we’ve got a big event ahead of us as we’ll be
cooking an epic hog roast feast for none other than the Cherry and Whites,
Gloucester’s best and most professional Rugby team. We’ll be cooking enough
food for 300 people, but are only expecting 180 guests, many of which have
mammoth appetites and will be eating unusually large portions, to put it
politely. We’re serving up a spit roasted pig, 20 chickens and more side dishes
than you can shake a stick at.

Until tonight I have a largely quiet day without much to do.
A couple of event details need going over with a customer, but that’s about it
for the morning and afternoon.

If you’re in Gloucester and looking for event catering or
hog roast catering more specifically, we have a proven track record of
excellence and have many catering options available, all well priced with
designs to suit any budget. We’re more than capable of catering at large events
with hundreds, even thousands of guests, but we certainly don’t neglect smaller
events as we’ll happily cater for small events even if you’re only expecting 10
people. Not sure if any of our menus are just right for you? No problem, you
only have to let us know and we’ll take a menu you like most and make
alterations until you’re happy that the menu is 100% to your liking. You won’t
come across a hog roast as delicious as ours, the textures and taste of our
spit roasted dinners is like no other.

Remember, if you want us to cater for you it’s always worth
getting in touch with us as early as you can. We can only cater for a set
number of events a day and some days and seasons are more popular than others.

I always encourage people to get
in touch, even if you’re only mildly interested at the moment. Email, Phone or
even leave a blog comment if you want to learn more about the great hog roasts
we do.

A day in the life of the hog roast office.

Another blog, another day, another location, another event –
Another good morning, as always, to our blog readers from myself and the rest
of the hog roast team here in the office. Somehow I’ve found myself at work an
hour early today, not sure whether the roads have gotten shorter or I’m going
mad with age, but it makes a nice change to have some time to spare in the
morning.

So, where was I? Oh yes! We’re having a huge surge of
interest in our catering and hire service in Cheltenham, which is great news as
we’ve been trying to increase our presence and popularity in Cheltenham for
some time now, and all the hard work seems to be paying off.

My schedule for today looks something like this:

Now – Writing my blog :)

9am – Read through Emails and get in contact with people
who’ve been enquiring about our services. There’s a sizeable number of people
interested in hog roast catering for the next few months so I’ll be making
price estimations and chasing interested parties. Also have 4 people interested
in hiring a machine towards the tail end of December so need to confirm dates,
location and hire length.

11am – Hog roast sandwich catering for one of the local
Rugby clubs. We’ve catered for this particular team a few times over the years
and has always been a great time, with lots of great people and the team always
have a monster appetite!

2pm – Paperwork, I won’t go into detail as I don’t want to
bore you all to death. Be assured that it’s tiresome work and I’d much rather
be doing some real work.

That’s me for the day. The team have a day that’s a little
more eventful and are also catering for a works party later in the evening; I
believe they’re serving one of the party menus that has been customised to some
degree on request of the client. Customising menus for clients is something we
do often.

I hope you’re enjoying our blog,
if you’re a Twit why not give us a Tweet?

Hog roast catering can be there for you at every special moment.

Thursday, April 12th, 2012

Hello again folks, I’m currently writing from the office in
Hereford, had a long journey into work as most will with the bad weather we’ve
been having. Sat at my desk at the moment just in front of a nice, warm heater,
gearing myself up for another long day of hog roast events.

I don’t always have the time to get myself personally
involved in all events being the owner of a company this large, but recently
I’ve found myself on the line most days of the week, and it’s been great to get
back out there, face to face with customers. Being locked up in an office,
swimming in a sea of paperwork isn’t too fun, even at the best of times!

Today I’m getting my hands dirty catering for one of my old
friends, who I’ve known since school. We catered at his wedding a couple of
years back and now we’re catering at the Christening of his daughter, born
earlier in the year. The event is family and close-friend focused with a guest
list of only 30 people. It’s a late morning/early afternoon event so we’re
working from our pig sandwich menu, a succulent roasted hog served on our very
own freshly baked white bread rolls, with stuffing, crackling and a choice of
sauces, with the main being apple sauce – A fitting menu for this type of
event, time of year and time of day.

The event is a small and personal one as I mention, taking
place at my friends (the clients) parents house. They’ve set up a marquee in
their back garden, with plenty of room indoors and outdoors.

Unfortunately the weather is bloody terrible so it looks
like the original plan for it being a back garden feast could be out of the
equation unless the weather gets its act together. Easy to work around though,
we’ll run the machine outside the back door under cover and feed the folks in
the open-plan kitchen.

Typing this I realise I’m about
to be pushing my luck with the time and should probably do some real work. As
always, thanks for reading and keep checking back for more updates.

Impress at your business meeting with our high class hog roast.

Monday, April 9th, 2012

If you’re a business owner and you want to make a very
strong impact on a customer or client because you wish to work with them, there
are many ways which can help to do this. If a meeting is taking place between
several of these people and a strong impression needs to be made on all of
these individuals, knowing how to do this can be difficult. If your meeting
requires a type of catering which is completely different than what they might
have tasted before, there is a way forward for you due to the sublime food
which we provide.

In all, we have extensive experience of having provided hog
roast catering to a substantial number of businesses. A prime example of such
happened in Kings Lynn only a few days ago. Here, the owner of a large business
was on the verge of landing a huge contract but the board members of who they
wanted to do business with wanted to be in attendance as well. Although the
business owner had all of their facts and figures, they wanted to show that
even the catering for their meetings was superb. After choosing from our
extensive range of meats that we have on offer which includes chicken, turkey,
beef and lamb as well as hog, they opted for chicken and pig.

By arriving with plenty of time to spare, I cooked the hog
roast meat which my customer had requested in the same perfect way that I have
become renowned for all across Kings Lynn. As the meeting ended and the people
who had attended started to gorge on what I had carved up for them, the
reaction on their faces said it all. Soon after chomping down on their initial
serving, they soon started to sport a smile. This obviously had a positive
impact as my customer commented afterwards that the meeting was a success and
they had chosen his company over many others. Best of all, the price which was
charged for what I supplied on that magical day did not exceed their budget.

Hog roast catering is suitable for any occasion.

Thursday, April 5th, 2012

When a baby enters the world, this will be a very joyous
time. The many years of happiness ahead for their parents or guardians will
spread to their family and other loved ones too. There’s so much to look
forward to, such as the christening which will happen when the child is a few
months old. When arranging a christening, there is a lot to organise but if you
are currently experiencing trouble with hiring a leading catering company for
this, we are here to help.

We have extensive experience of providing hog roast catering
in many areas in the United Kingdom with Norwich being a prime example. I was
contacted a few months ago about providing hog roast catering at a party which
was to be held after a christening had taken place. The people who called me
knew what I was capable of providing because they had attended a birthday party
which we were present at. They were also aware of the wonderful scent that our
hog roast catering is able to provide on each and every occasion. When they
told us about when their party was taking place, we informed them about the
meats which we were able to provide. In all, we are able to supply other meats
than just pig. This includes beef, lamb, kebabs, sausages and burgers. By
offering this wide range means that if guests do not like pig, then they have
plenty of other meats to gorge on. Our customers decided that they would prefer
all meats as they knew that the scent of all of these together would be too
good to be true.

So, how did the christening party go? It was a complete
success with all of the many guests who sampled what we had to offer being
overwhelmed with what had been served to them. As we served all of our meats at
this party, multiple guests took advantage of this and had several stuffed into
a solitary bread roll. When this was combined with apple sauce which we also supplied,
this provided a taste sensation like no other.

Being the owner of a successful business is an amazing
experience. No matter how popular your services are, gaining extra custom is
very important. Not only will this help to boost your brand but by having
greater custom will help your profits to soar. If you are in the process of
arranging a meeting in Peterborough, catering might be needed. In order for the
greatest of impressions to be made on these potential clients, limp sandwiches
might not be ideal. If you are looking for a reputable provider of exceptional
catering in Peterborough, your search is over.

It was just a few weeks ago that we supplied hog roast
catering to a medium sized business owner. Just like any manager in his
position, he wanted to grow his clientele base and the meeting which he had
organised presented him with this opportunity. He had heard about our hog roast
catering courtesy of a business associate of his and whom we had provided hog
roast catering for. He knew about the wonderful smell which our hog roast
catering was highly capable of supplying. It was also already known that the
food which we could serve to his guests was not limited to just hog because we are
able to supply other meats such as lamb, turkey, chicken and beef with sausages
and burgers available as well. Although there was only going to be two people at
the meeting, he opted for hog only but knew that if he wanted more this was
possible.

When the meeting was over, his potential client was
incredibly surprised at what was then presented to him. The scent which our hog
roast catering provided instantly became noticeable and this resulted in them
enjoying their second and third portion even more. This was even truer when
they had a dollop of apple sauce to accompany each serving.

I was later told by my customer that this meeting was
successful and this potential client was now working closely with him. Also, the
price which we charged was not out of their price range whatsoever.
