Ellen and her fiancé are getting married this spring after getting engaged over Christmas in 2022. The pair have been busy planning the perfect spring wedding, with a beautiful church ceremony followed by a rustic, floral-themed reception. The reception is also set to include music from a local, live band, which will be a great addition to the event. For the catering, the Taste the Cracklin has been hired to provide a classic hog roast for the occasion, alongside a delicious meat-free option for vegetarian guests to enjoy. This menu will be perfect for the event and is sure to have plenty for all 130 guests to enjoy.
In preparation for this event, the Taste the Cracklin team will arrive at the venue in the morning and prepare for the 5:00pm serving time. We will begin the prep by slow-roasting the hog to perfection and ensuring that it is packed full of natural juices and flavours. Once ready, the pork will be expertly carved by our chef and served in fresh bread rolls, alongside sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, and crispy crackling. Alternatively, the guests can enjoy halloumi and vegetable skewers, which are delicious and meat-free. For the side dishes, we will be serving homemade chips, sweet potato fries, gourmet coleslaw, homemade mac and cheese, corn cobettes, and a green leaf salad. Overall, this menu has plenty of different dishes for the guests to enjoy, including something for guests of all ages to enjoy. This reception is sure to be a lot of fun and will be a great way to welcome spring.
